Eaglehawk Reef on the East Coast is an exposed beach and reef break that has unreliable waves. The best time of year for waves is autumn. Ideal winds are from the west. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers and there is left hand reef break too.. Best around high tide. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for rips and rocks.
