“I have surfed this beach for the last 24 years, and the best swell direction is North east, easterly, the waves break better when the swell has more of an easterly direction and the winds are off shore and light, Belhaven can be frustrating as the sand bars are constantly shifting coupled with some large tides the conditions can change rapidly, and larger swells can be hard work due to lots of white water.”
