Cruden Bay Surf Guide

Cruden Bay on the East Coast is a quite exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf. Winter and spring are the optimum times of year to visit. Offshore winds are from the northwest. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the best wave direction is from the south. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Best around low tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.

“Cruden Bay is one of the best beaches in the area. The new burger van at the harbour makes it a great day out”
