Chinamans on the North Coast is an exposed beach and reef break that has dependable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the southwest with some shelter here from south winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and there is also a right hand reef break.. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for sharks.
