Table - best surf conditions forecast for Cala De Meron over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s break down what’s ahead. The only spot that’s on the board is Cala De Meron, and I gotta be straight with you – it’s a slow start.
Right now, through the 19th of July, it’s flat and lifeless. Swell energy never hits triple digits – the best we get is a 66 (combined energy of all swells directed here) on the afternoon of the 13th, but that’s just a bump on a log. Forget it.
The first real chance comes on the morning of Monday, 20th July. A NNW groundswell pumps in at 5ft with a 8-second interval, and the combined energy jumps to 274 – that’s finally some push. Top it off with glassy conditions, not a breath of wind. That’s clean, rideable, and beginner-friendly if you’re careful. That morning is your window.
After that, things get messy. We have a few glassy gaps – morning of 25th and morning of 26th – but those are small, knee-high dribbles from the NW. The 26th morning brings a little more juice (107, combined energy of all swells directed here) but still nothing special.
Circle the morning of Monday, 27th July – a moderate NW swell hits 6ft at 10 seconds, energy reading 764 – chunky, but cross-winds spoil the surface. Then, the true gem: Tuesday morning, 28th July. Flat calm wind, 6ft swell from the NNW at 11 seconds, combined energy 891 – that’s powerful, lined-up groundswell. It’s big enough to test your limits if you’re a beginner, but for an experienced surfer on a point or reef, that’s the call of the month.
Summary: Don’t leave the house until the 20th morning – that’s one clean session. Then hold out for the 28th morning – it’s a long way off but it’s the best thing in the whole forecast.
Rusty.
