Bellows Surf Guide

Bellows in Oahu is an exposed beach break that is often working and works all around the year. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Beware of rips and private access.

“I did the boogie board thing for years with the kiddos and the beach break, then recently decided to take a SUP board out to the outer reef (1.2 miles offshore). Had overhead to 1.5x OH and even had a second breaking barrel that some short boarders were rocking (they took a bit to get that far out). Highly recommend experienced SUPsters get out deep (about even with the Mokes islands) and enjoy some potentially big surf.”
