Bellambi Point Surf Guide

Bellambie Point in Sydney South is an exposed reef/Bombora break that has very reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the west southwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. A reef breaks right. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of urchins, rips and rocks.

Phil Osopher from Australia
“A good option when everywhere else is out of control, or all the good spots that handle south winds and swell are packed like sardines. Can offer some good lefts behind the pool and longer, but dare I say it, softer rights, breaking into the cove. Very susceptible to tide changes and can be a frustrating high tide option. Noticed a plague of long boarders on the last visit. Haven't surfed here for 12 year, but still remember some nice snappy waves on an out-of-control day.
Used to be a bit smelly. Hopefully things have changed?”
