Aramoana Spit Surf Guide

Aramoana Spit in Otago is a quite exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf. Spring and Summer provide the optimum conditions. Works best in offshore winds from the southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Be warned that sharks have been sighted.
