Amanave Bay in Tutuila is an exposed reef break that has pretty consitent surf. The best time of year for waves is autumn. The best wind direction is from the east. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The reef provides both left and right breaks. Best around high tide when the tide is rising. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Watch out for sharp coral, rips and sharks.
