Allans Beach on the Otago Peninsula is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the north. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south. The beach break provides left and right handers. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Beware of sharks/rips.
