Abermawr in Pembrokeshire is a reasonably exposed beach break that has inconsistent surf. Winter and spring are the favoured times of year to visit. The best wind direction is from the southeast with some shelter here from south southeast winds. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the best swell direction is from the west southwest. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Best around low tide. Take care of rocks in the line up.

“Abereiddi beach is quite popular for surfing, but has a rocky reef and can have powerful rip tides. The surf at Abermawr beach is quite inconsistent, but works in some tide and swell conditions.”
