Mendocino County Surf Breaks

Mendocino County has a mixture of sandy and rocky breaks, with a lot of breaks being inaccessible, Highway 1 runs most of this stretch of coast. The water tends to stay quite chilly so a 4/3 plus wetsuit will be needed year round. There are facilities all up and down the coast line, but don't be fooled into thinking this area holds a California paradise of surf, as most places are rocky and unrideable. Crowds are quite common and so are Sharks so beware.
