Waiting for a lull

Waiting for a lull before paddling out at Mangamaunu. Lovely surf and up to 25 surfers out by mid-morning making the most of it. The faces were well overhead on the bigger sets and the outside point was breaking all the way into the bay. The next day we went snowboarding on the tops above Lewis Pass where over a metre of snow fell while we were all enjoying the spring sunshine at Kaikoura.
