Surf-Forecast Premium Launches 16-day Forecast and New, Improved Modelling
Get 16% off your subscription with code 16DAYS—available for 16 days only, until March 25, 2026.
Surf-Forecast Premium just got better. All paid subscribers will now see a full 16-day forecast, surf reports and wind and tide data for over 7,000 of the world's best surf spots. Premium members will also have access to a new high-resolution forecast model, which enhances our current forecasts by making them quicker and more accurate.
That’s more lead time. More confidence. More chances to score good waves at home, or chase perfect waves on the road.
“We know how much surfers value a longer heads-up — our modelling has retained its accuracy, but now we can see further ahead and let you know when those magic windows are coming and when everything lines up," said Robert Davies, surf-forecast Co-founder and Chief Forecaster.
To celebrate, we're offering a one-time, introductory deal. We are giving 16% off the annual subscription rate with the code 16DAYS. You'll need to enter the code in your browser on our website, not in the app. Get in quick, as it is only available for 16 days from the 10th of March. That’s less than £15, $20, €17 per year.
Simply use the code 16DAYS, and you can look forward to the same easy-to-read, accurate surf forecasts. Just now, with an extended reach and improved accuracy.
In addition to the 16-day forecast, premium members receive hourly surf and weather detail, our extended Wavefinder, custom surf and wind alerts, detailed satellite maps and an ad-free experience.
"In general, the longer the wave period, the more confident models are about predictions further into the future,” said Davies. “That’s why the forecasts for 16 days will tend to be more accurate about groundswells than they are about windswells.”

He recommends that the new extended forecast will be great for predicting solid Southern Ocean swells hitting the Pacific Coast of the Americas, or long-period swell wrapping into Indonesia. Your chances of booking a last-minute trip to Bali, Mexico or Morocco and scoring waves will be improved dramatically. However, it remains more difficult to predict windswells, such as in the Mediterranean Sea, that often form rapidly in just a few days.
That’s why, along with the new 16-day forecast, we have also added a GFSWAVE mode that is available to our members for the first time. Users who want to get deep and meaningful with their forecasts can choose which model to use.
Our date has always used the tried, tested and best GEFS model, which is the statistical combination of 30 model runs. It provides the best available estimate of surf conditions, especially when you are looking more than a few days out.

The new GFSWAVE runs at a higher resolution, at one-hour time intervals. That means subscribers will get better information on the timing of swell changes hour to hour, compared to the existing GEFS model that runs on three-hour time stops.
“The higher resolution also means it’s going to do a much better job of modelling swells around large islands that cast swell shadows,” explained Davies, providing examples like Southern California and the Channel Islands, where the new model will make a huge difference. “It's also going to do a better job of handling convoluted coastlines with channels and peninsulas: places like the British Isles.”
The end result is that premium members will enjoy the new 16-day extended forecast, as well as more accurate and detailed shorter-range data. Use your discount code now, and make sure you are getting the best possible forecasts to get the best waves, whether you are tracking conditions in the next few hours, or need to plan your surfing life for the next two weeks.
