‘Coolum surf: 5-25 knots SE. Picture perfect start to the day with Blue skies, light offshore breezes early and fun size waves. Get out early with the wind set to swing onshore and increase through the late morning. Mt Coolum, Marcoola and twin waters with tide for some fast short rides. Sunshine and northern beaches will offer a bit more size.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Conditions are bumpy along the Mid coast with WSW winds around 15 knots early, and storm surge creating a very high morning tide. Surf is around 2' on the reefs but quality is pretty average thanks to the onshore winds.’

‘South-Coast SA: The swell has picked up overnight along the South Coast, although probably not as much as EVERYONE was predicting. Middleton has waves around 4- 5' inside the Bay, but off Suicides and off the Point it's bigger on the sets and pretty raw with 10 - 15 knot West winds.’

‘Whitesands Bay: 3 ft clean waves today with light/moderate offshore winds. Good setty waves this morning with some clean shoulder high sets on the outgiong tide. The waves will continue through to low tide when it will drop off a bit while it’s slack around lunch time. It should pick up again this afternoon with clean 3 ft sets. Good waves today, very good waves this weekend.’
- Santa Cruz is set for heavy waves this weekend [link] . A big open ocean swell of 10ft+ meets offshore winds on Saturday.

‘Tullan is the best spot for a surf today with clean 2-3 foot peaks along the beach. The sun is out and the wind is offshore. The peak is a foot and clean, maybe better on the pushing tide. Rossnowlagh is a foot and clean. Tullan is the place to be today and for the weekend. Should be 2-3 foot and clean all weekend and with temperatures forecast in the mid teens it should be a great weekend in Bundoran.Low tide: 12:19, 0.6m High tide: 18:28, 3.9m’

‘Constantine Bay report: It is just about as good as it gets in this country this morning! A thumping swell is gracefully looping itself across the Reef just after high tide. The breeze is light and offshore, the sun is gradually burning its way through the early morning mist and the thermometer is already in double digits.’

6.45am Friday. Way too high in Rest Bay and breaking on the rocks, but there's a 3ft wave and we should get a nice clean 3ft as it comes off the rocks. Coney Beach is a clean 2ft+. With light winds forecast for most of the day, we should get a surfable wave all day in the 2ft region and increasing on the push to about 3ft.

‘Porthcawl: Way too high in Rest Bay and breaking on the rocks, but there's a 3ft wave and we should get a nice clean 3ft as it comes off the rocks. Coney Beach is a clean 2ft+. With light winds forecast for most of the day, we should get a surfable wave all day in the 2ft region and increasing on the push to about 3ft.’

‘Bundoran report: on Friday, the sun isn't fully up yet so its still darkish outside, Tullan Strand is the place to surf today with 3 foot clean peeling waves, light offshore southeasterly wind, The Peak and reefs are smaller with 1-2 foot waves, Rossnowlagh is 1 foot, Tullan strand will be best at low tide today @ 12:19pm. The forecast for the weekend is for 2-3 foot surf tomorrow, Sunday will be 3-4 foot wind is perfect offshore all weekend. Monday and Tuesday will be 4-5 foot with offshore wind.’

It's looking much cleaner this morning with 3-4ft of ESE on the open beaches, 2-3ft in the protected corners. The winds are fresh S early and are forecast to go SW/SE depending on the location of the upper level trough. The points and S stretches and corners are the pick with some smaller clean ones on the 8 am high tide. Water quality is very poor from the heavy rain
