‘1.5 metres(5') 10-15 knots ENE. We have around 2-3ft of ESE swell, with messy E'ly wind around 10-15knts. The wind is predicted to increase to 15-20kts but mainly offshore. All open beaches have small choppy waves. Try the northern pockets Sunshine, Mt Coolum, Kawana and Kings.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Conditions are clean and glassy on the Mid Coast with no wind early, but surf is again tiny. There are tiny little half a foot lines mostly rolling right over the reefs on the full tide, but it's not gonna improve as the tide drops.’

‘Polzeath Surf Report 9.00; A beautiful start to the day with sunshine and blue sky. The temperature is well down of what we have become accustomed to over the last few weeks. At the moment it is high tide and there is a well spaced swell of about waist to chest high with a good time period.’

‘Constantine Bay report: Another beautiful day is stretching ahead of us, a light offshore (south easterly) caressing the faces of those three to more often four foot waves that are peaking tall off the back of the Reef.’

‘Harlyn report: I don't know if that was a freak set that came through as I pulled up here this morning but a beautiful two foot plus wave tore across the sand, all glassy and peeling and hollow. Way bigger than I'd expected (which might indicate that the other side could be bigger than I'd called it!) but small. Beautiful though!’
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
