‘Coolum surf: 1.0 metres(3') 10-15 knots ENE. All beaches looking a treat with the winds easing today. Swell outlook for the weekend with stacks of waves and lighter winds set to continue. Good days to get some practice or learn to surf before the swell increases through the weekend.’

Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: Conditions are glassy on the Mid Coast with light ESE winds, but on the full morning tide surf if absolutely tiny. There are some tiny lines but nowhere is breaking, and nothing much will change as the tide heads out.’

Surf South Oz:
‘South-Coast SA: Winds are light from the East and the usual summer lumps are running through the swell along the South Coast, but it's not a write off. Surf is peaky around 3' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch, and 2' around at Chiton / Gap. Waits and Parson's will be in the 3 - 4' range, and Parson's will be part sheltered from the wind.’

9.am Friday. Wind has dropped to almost nothing - but so has the swell. Coney Beach is 1ft and Rest Bay is about 2ft on sets but too high. We may get a surfable 2ft in Rest Bay as it comes off the rocks but then it will drop real quickly with the dropping tide. A small 1ft for most of the day in Rest Bay, Coney Beach will be flat.

‘Constantine Bay report: The birds seem pretty happy this morning going by the loudness of the dawn chorus. And what's not to shout about! A bright and cheery dawn is lighting up the bay, sunshine glinting off that two to maybe three feet of surf as the lightest of breezes hold those waves up to the early morning rays.’

‘Harlyn report: It is glassy and pretty and peaceful but it's real small too. Bigger than I'd expected though, which probably means that the other side is a little bigger than it first seems but not by much. It's a foot of glassy walls around here at high tide, with the odd bigger thigh high one threatening the lineup now and again.’
