PorthcawlSurf (School & Hire):
‘Porthcawl: Quite strong offshore breeze and 1ft+ in Rest Bay. Almost flat in Coney Beach. We could get 2ft in Rest Bay towards high tide and it will drop off this afternoon to about 1ft+. Don't forget the Welsh Open Surf Comp is in Rest Bay today. It could get quite busy, so please have some consideration for competitors.’

‘Barwon Heads: Very small clean waves on a dropping tide, the wind is light offshore from the north at 5K’s its around 1 to 2ft ideal for the log or fat fish or dare I say S.U.P water is around 17.5 degrees, so still warmish Sunday will be north to north west at 12K’s and 2.5 ft clean offshore small waves early an expected south east change late’

Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: There's a small wave this morning on the high tide, around 1' on the reefs but very full and already showing some Northerly lump in it. In the next couple of hours winds will pick up from the NNW and make it bumpy, and the dropping tide won't help it.’

Surf South Oz:
‘South-Coast SA: It's just dead glassy along the South Coast this morning with winds just a puff from the North, but swell is not exactly huge. Surf is around 1' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch, with Waits & Parson's the only real option for shortboarders.’

Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
Pretty average this morning with grey skies, the odd shower, SSE winds up early and 2ft of messy SE swell. The winds are forecast to go ESE later. There are some small messy ones on the E facing points and in the S corners on the dropping tide. Outer bays at Noosa also will have some small ones as the tide drops. It's nothing to get excited about.

‘Harlyn report: It's so small around here. Glassy and snappy but small. It may build a little on the incoming tide but the other side is still going to be the place to go today. Anywhere on the other side of the headland is going to be better than here, as long as the wind stays light!’

‘Bundoran report: , Tullan Strand is the place to surf today with 2-3 foot clean waves, The Peak and and reefs are smaller 2 foot, wind is light offshore. The surf forecast for the weekend is for 2-3 foot waves at Tullan Strand with light offshore wind for Saturday and Sunday. The reefs will be smaller 1-2 foot so Tullan Strand is the best option for a surfable wave in the area over the weekend.’

‘Constantine Bay report: A beautiful dawn is spreading itself across the fields to embrace the bays this morning. The wind is light, no more than a very light breeze and is drifting from the South, almost South East, almost offshore. So the one to two to occasionally three feet of glassy surf is looking very attractive.’
