8.15am Monday. Tide is dropping but swell has dropped a lot too. Coney Beach is clean and 1ft, Rest Bay is clean and 2ft, maybe touching 3ft on sets but will drop off quickly. Wind is changeble for this afternoon, so although we may get 3ft sets around 3pm - it may be a little messy in Rest Bay and a little small in Coney Beach.?

‘Whitesands Bay: 2 ft messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. Fairly small, messy and gutless this morning. Bit more zip ing the wave just before low but the waves won’t be great this morning. Smaller while the tide is out and then a few 1-2 ft sets on the push this afternoon. 3 ft tomorrow, 4 ft Wednesday.’

‘Constantine Bay report: I think that it might just be getting lighter a moment or two earlier! Which would save that hanging around, waiting to be able to see. And that's how good the surf is, having to start out by talking about dawn time! Well, actually the surf this morning isn't that bad.’

‘Harlyn report: It's still pretty sloppy around here this morning even though that wind has dropped away. I guess that it is all relative and although that wind has dropped, it is still mainly onshore (side to onshore) and fresh enough to make for sloppy waves.’

Not a lot of quality about with a ESE swell that is small and a bit messy in the 1-2ft range on the open beaches, it's smaller at around only 1ft in the S corners. It's buried under a big early high tide that peaks at 8.15am. The winds are light SSE early and are predicted to go onshore from the ESE. Early try from Dickys to Currumundi, Alex to Maroochydore, Coolum and A Bay for some very average wind affected waves
