9.15am Wednesday. Coney Beach is 1-2ft, Rest Bay is 2-3ft on sets. Dropping tide so both beaches will drop off quite quickly as the tide drops. We should get a bit bigger swell later this afternoon but winds will be howing onshore so likely to be messed up at both beaches.

‘Constantine Bay report: Well it's better than yesterday, perhaps not great but it is okay. Three feet and bigger waves are rolling in with a light but persistent south sou' westerly wind behind it making for crumbly and sloppyish conditions.’

‘It's another super frustrating one around here this morning. Conditions are great but there is so little swell managing to reach the beach. Those waves that are coming through are pretty nicely shaped (for Harlyn) but are so small. And it's just off high tide. I guess that, as the wind slips further south and builds then so to will the surf.’

‘Whitesands Bay: 2–4ft fairly messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. Tide’s a bit full first thing with a few fairly messy mushy 2 ft waves. It should however pick up a bit as it drops back with some waist to shoulder high sets on the drop especially leading up to low around noon. Smaller while the tide turns for a couple of hours before a few shoulder high sets at dusk. 4 ft tomorrow, 2 ft Friday. If you missed the 20ft wave yesterday - you should hae been there!!’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Winds are offshore from the East and conditions are clean first thing, and there's even some new swell trying to push in for teh first time in... well... quite a while. It's around 1' on the reefs with occasional bigger ones, but the tide is very full and that's slowing it down.’

‘South-Coast SA: Onshore Southerlies around 15 knots are into it early this morning, and conditions are messy with a small WSW swell. Surf is sloppy at around 1 - 2' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch and 1' around at Chiton / Gap. Waits or Parson's will be bigger but just as messed up by the wind as everywhere else.’

Things are looking more organised on the swell front but lost some size on the sets, the wait has blown out and period is down as well. All breaks could do with a bit more water. Get it now before the wind does.’

‘Whitesands Bay: 2-3 ft messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. Mushy, messy 2ft waves first thing this morning, should pick up a bit as the tide drops with the odd waist high set. It’ll then drop off while the tide is out before picking up again on the push late afternoon. 3 ft at the most today. 3 ft tomorrow, 4 ft Thursday. If you missed the 20ft wave – you should hae been there!!’
