‘Coolum surf: 1.5 metres(5') 10-15 knots WSW. More of the same with it still looking a lot like a lake this morning with tiny, clean conditions. The SSE swell is only flat to 1ft. Light WSW winds early that are forecast to go SSW later in the day. The tide is high early, dropping to a low at 10.50am, coming back into a high at 5.20pm.’

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
