9.am Wednesday. A nice wave coming into Rest Bay - about 3ft+ on sets. Dropping tide though, so it will get smaller towoards low tide. There's a decent wave on the sandbars, so we should get 3-4ft on the push this afternoon. Winds may get a little stronger, but should stay offshore.

‘Whitesands Bay: Clean 3-4 ft waves today with very light offshore winds. Very good clean shoulder/head high waves this morning on the drop. Quite setty but the waves should keep pushing through all day apart from a couple of hours during slack at low tide. Good surf today. 3-4 ft tomorrow, 2-3 ft Friday.’

‘Constantine Bay report: I watched a Sunburst dawn over the frosty moors of Bodmin this morning and freezing it is too! Minus four here, minus six there! That aside it is a beautiful morning with that light pink cloud rapidly thinning to blue. And, yep, that surf is pumping!’

Decent three foot sets are washing around the headland into the offshore wind, holding themselves tall for their size before crashing across the sand. It has that 'dropping tide wobble' to it here as well right now as well but that'll change with the tide.’

‘, its just starting to get bright folks, the surf is pumping again in Bundoran, The Peak and all reefs are 6 foot double over head, wind is medium straight offshore waves are perfect peeling on all reefs consistent sets. All Bundoran beaches are too big, beginners go to Streedagh 2 foot and Rossnowlagh 3 foot.’

Coolum:
‘1.3 metres(4') 5-20 knots ESE. Swell days continue with light offshore breezes early. Massive high tides through the morning offering fun shore breaks along the coast. Marcoola, Maroochydore and Kawana are the pick areas. Coolum has a few good long banks. Northern beaches of Peregian and Sunshine holding more size and stacks of empty line ups.’

Lunchtime Update...The winds are from the SSW still at around 10 knots and there are 2 up to 3ft of clean ESE swell on the open beaches, it's smaller in the S corners. The winds are forecast to freshen out of the SSE later. The tide is low at 2.45pm and there are small beachies all along the open beaches before the SSE winds get up. Later there'll be small ones on the points when the SSE winds get up and the tide drops more

‘1.5 metres(5') 5-15 knots ENE. Great days ahead with stacks of waves along the coast and light winds. Coolum has stacks of good banks with some solid rides. Stummers, Peregian and northern beaches holding more size. Small waves on the coast points with Mofats, Carties and Alex the pick.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Winds are light from the East and conditions are clean early, but swell has eased overnight. The full tide isn't helping, but there are a few 1' waves on the reefs with occasional bigger sets. The dropping tide won't help, but the beachies should have a few waves through low tide at lunch.’

‘South-Coast SA: It's probably the best day of the week so far with light ENE winds and clean conditions along the South Coast early. Surf is around 2' along the Middleton - Day St. stretch, with occasional bigger sets down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Chiton is around 1 - 2', Waits and Parson's will be bigger and both should be glassy early.’
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
