Aloha Surf School:
‘Fanore surf report: Well it's flat again today and not a good surf forecast for the week on the cards with no significant westerly swell due. At the moment forecasts are suggestiong that it will be pretty flat throughout the week and into next weekend. However it does look like that blocking high is fading and we should have a return to our more normal westerly weather next week. However that's still a bit away at the moment, so check back later in the week for an update..’

‘Harlyn report: Well it's one of those days when there's not much difference between the two sides. One to two feet waves are gliding in here too this morning, held tall by that offshore, reflecting the morning light before crashing ashore. It is rare to see that size difference missing and that won't last long.’

8.am Monday. Still windy and small. Coney Beach is messed up and 1ft, Rest Bay is 1ft and cleaner. It's not really surfable anywhere. All the local swell is wind generated and breaking in calf depth of water. NOT GOOD.

‘Constantine Bay report: The wind has slipped to the south east, a much nicer direction than those northerlies and milder too! After yesterday's blow-through, it's not too strong at all this morning, it is just keeping that small swell small but it is also helping to make it look very attractive.’

Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
There's a SE swell with some push in it that's 3-4ft+ on the open beaches, it's smaller on the points and S corners. It's a grey cool morning with fresh S winds that are forecast to go strong SE later at over 30 knots. The E facing points and S protected stretches are the pick early on the dropping tide. Noosa has some small ones in the bays
