More of the same with light SW winds early and 2ft of ESE swell on the open beaches, with smaller ones in the S corners. It's high tide early, so check the beachies from Anne St to Wurtulla, Alex to Maroochydore, Coolum and A Bay. Small ones on the E facing points later in the day when the wind goes SE and the tide drops before the ENE sea breeze comes up

Few showers off the coast. Only a couple of breaks offering up anything of interest so prep yourself for some serious crowd compression.’

8.15am Saturday. A bigger swell but windy. Rest Bay is about 2-3ft and Coney Beach is about 2ft. Both Beaches will get bigger towards high tide but Rest Bay will be totally messed up by strong onshore winds, so Coney Beach is your best bet.

‘Porth Neigwl: There is a very actice cold front moving south this morning. You can see from the wind map that it is mid Irish Sea at 8.’
