‘Whitesands Bay: Messy 2-3 ft waves today with moderate onshore winds. First thing very similar conditions to yesterday. Foggy with some slightly messy 2-3 ft waves pushing through. Probably get better as the tide drops with the odd 3 ft wave around midday. Smaller during slack at low and then a twist with the wind turning offshore leading to some good clean 2 ft waves late afternoon. 3 ft tomorrow, 2 ft Sunday.’

‘, Peak and all reefs in the area are solid 6 foot, double over head, All Bundorans beaches are too big, wind is moderate cross-onshore with some bumpy conditions, the Peak has still got good shape with double overhead sets and chop on the face. Beginners looking for easy beach break waves go to Rossnowlagh 5 foot, or Streedagh 3 foot today. The forecast for the weekend is for 6 foot surf tomorrow with much lighter cross-shore wind, Sunday will be 4 foot with moderate cross-shore wind.’

7.30am Friday. A decent swell. Rest Bay is 3-4ft on sets but too high at the moment. We should get a decent 3ft as it comes off the rocks but may be just a little messed up by the onshore wind. Coney Beach is 2-3ft on sets. It will drop off as the tide drops but the swell looks like it's increasing so well worth checking out later this afternoon as wind looks like it may drop off too.

‘Constantine Bay report: Yesterday was more foggy, today is more drizzly. Yep, it is a dull and dreary old sky this morning with a seamless join between sea and sky along that grey horizon. But the wind has dropped off even more. It is westerly, which isn't ideal but it is also only really light too.’

‘Harlyn report: Some lumpy but fun ones are rolling through here this morning too. Three to four foot waves are bouncing around a bit at high tide, ideally needing the wind to be a little more offshore. But it's okay. The wind is super light and trying to be offshore but just about breezing across the bay instead.’
