‘Constantine Bay report: The sun came out eventually yesterday and it has stayed around to cheer us all up this morning but it is just a little bit chilly out there this bright and sunny Wednesday morning too at only 4 deg C! The surf is pretty small, a foot or two, really of leftover windswell. But it's better than that.’

The SSE swell is still not getting in onto the coast, it's only 1-2ft on the more open beaches and around 1ft in the S corners. THe winds are SSW early and are forecast to go fresh SSE later in the day. Just some small ones earlyon the S stretches. Try the E facing points later as the tide drops but it is vey small.

Coolum:
‘10-25 knots SE. All beaches looking a treat with the light offshore breeze early. Coolum has good banks on the half tides. Northern beaches holding a bit more size and empty line ups. Mudjimba area with some tide for fast shore breaks. Swell set to increase with the wind throughout the day.’

Aloha Surf School:
‘Fanore surf report: After 10 days of flatness we have some messy, medium sized, north westerly windswell. As the wind drops over the next few days, so will the swell. Unfortunately we don't really have any proper westerly swell on the cards. With our next weather system coming down from the north we will probably see a return to northerly winds and weak northerly wind swell. Check back in later in the week for an update...’

‘Peak is 4-5 foot and a bit bouncy with light onshore winds, but still the best it has been in a few weeks. Some close outs, some holding up. Tullan is blown out. The best option for a beach surf is probably Streedagh for some wind protection and 2 foot waves. Nice sunny day in Bundoran so get out there if you can. Low tide: 08:29, 1.3m High tide: 15:17, 3.1m’

‘Whitesands Bay: 2-3 ft messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. Plenty of messy waves this morning with 3 ft sets. Smaller for a while whilst the tide is out and then should pick up again this afternoon. The wind is also forecast to drop a bit so it may get a bit cleaner with fairly messy waist high sets late afternoon. So messy 3 ft this morning dropping to cleaner 2 ft sets later on this afternoon. Small tomorrow and Thursday.’
