It's still very small at around 1ft with the odd bigger one. The winds are light SW early and are forecast to go SSE later. Just very small ones on the open beaches early on te dropping tide before the wind comes up from the SSE later this morning

‘Mid-Coast SA: Conditions are clean this morning with light offshore East winds early, but there's practically no swell. Technically there is swell - it's just very South in direction and not getting into the gulf, and 70cm of tidal movement today won't do much to help.’

‘Whitesands Bay: Clean 2-3 ft waves today with light offshore winds. Good, clean, waist high waves this morning and nobody in. There is a fair wait between sets but the waves today should be pretty good with continuing offshore winds and a solid 2 ft swell. Conditions will remain the same all day. 3 ft tomorrow, 2-3 ft Sunday.’

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
