‘Porthcawl: Small. Rest Bay is 1ft with the odd 2ft set. Coney Beach is 1ft. Both beaches will drop off after high tide so nothing much for the rest of the day.’

‘Polzeath Surf Report 6.45: Very heavy mist this morning making it unfortunately impossible to take a photo but I walked to the waters edge and could make out that there are soe small clean waves. I don’t expect there will be much change to that today as we have high tide at 8.30 and low water this afternoon at 2.45.’

‘Coolum surf: 1.0 metres(3') 10-20 knots SE. Small, tinny waves in the protected southern corners of Noosa and Mooloolaba. Noosa festival of surfing has started. Small waves along the coast with lighter onshore winds early. Alex, Maroochy stretches a little cleaner then the northern beaches, best on the half tides.’

‘Barwon Heads: Love to say that the banks are all time and its smoking but alas the banks are more fickle than the missus buying a pair of super stretch jeans don’t go there brothers and sisters .though that being said its clean offshore at 3 to 4ft and with a light northerly at 5K’s yes some guys are scoring some very serious cases of hi speed’

‘1.4 metres(5') 10-20 knots ESE. Onshore winds into the open beaches early though only light. Still good size waves along the coast with Coolum, Peregian and northern beaches offering more size. Protected southern corners of Noosa and Mooloolaba super clean but tinny tinny surf. A/bay is the pick for size and wind protection.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Winds are light from the ENE and conditions are clean early, and there's still a few small lines of swell pushing in. Surf is around 1' on the reefs and a little bit slow heading toward the high tide, and it'll fight the dropping tide after 8am.’

‘South-Coast SA: It's nice that winds have finally swung offshore for the start of the working week, and condiitons are the cleanest they've been since last week. Surf is around 2 - 3' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch, and lining up pretty well, and there'll be some bigger sets around at Waits and Parson's.’

Mon 3/12: Surf is runnng 2 to 3 feet, occ larger at times, but choppy. Winds are onshore, out of the East at around 10 knots.

‘Whitesands Bay: 1 ft clean waves today with very light offshore winds. Nice shapely but small waves this morning with 1 ft sets. Big enough to surf on the sets but there is a long wait. Similar conditions all day. Will almost drop off at low tide this afternoon. Nothing tomorrow, 1 ft Wednesday.’

8.am Monday. Still Misty but not quite as bad as yesterday. But the Surf is smaller. Coney Beach is 1ft and Rest Bay is 2ft but too high. It will drop off quite quickly to about 1ft for the rest of the day. Not much on the push either - maybe 1-2ft on sets.

‘Constantine Bay report: The mist and fog are trying to hide that glassy three to four feet of surf but once you're down there, you can see it! Fine and dandy waves are emerging out of that gloom, cresting over the sandbanks and peeling towards the shore. It's a wee bit smaller than yesterday but not so much that you'd notice.’

‘Harlyn report: It is so small. Barely a foot or two of sheet glass little shin kickers are peeling out of that sea fog. The other side is the place to be today and probably for the rest of the week as the swell eases off.’

‘Monday morning, its just starting to get bright folks, good waves in Bundoran today, The Peak and all reefs are 3 foot, Tullan Strand is 5 foot, wind is perfect glassy light offshore, wind will stay offshore all day, best conditions will be on the mid afternoon low tire @ 2:27pm.’

‘Newcastle surf report: Swell has straightened further overnight. Sets are down and a reasonable wait. Period has also fallen away, currently sitting under 7 seconds. Wind was NNW on sun-up but call it NE now and has the feel that easterlies with be with us sooner rather than later. Looking a bit disorganised but a few shoulders scattered across town.’

‘10-20 knots SSE. We have 2-3ft ESE swell with light SW winds early. All open beaches have fun waves. Winds are precited to pick up throughout the day to 20kts SE change. Try Alex to Maroochy Coolum has fun banks and Abay when the wind picks up. Some scattered showers around.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: It's to believe there's still a few waves for the third day in a row, let alone on a long weekend. Winds are light from the east and surf is clean at around 1', with the odd bigger set. The tide peaks soon and as it heads out, the fading swell will really struggle.’
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
