‘South-Coast SA: 11:30am updateSwell has been building this morning and wind has picked up a bit, but at 12 knots it's been pretty good. Waits and Parson's are closing out and rippy but there are a few good banks if you can actually stay put long enough to get a wave. There's 2' waves along the Day St. stretch and a few spots look fun.’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Conditions are clean on the Mid coast early and there are a few 1' waves, but Northerly winds are not far off. The high tide peaks soon and will start to head out, and as the Nor-wester picks up it'll start to get bumpy. The beachies will have bumpy waves through low tide at lunch, and we should see something on the reefs later.’

More of the same again this morning with grey skies, the odd shower, and 1-2ft of uneven ESE swell. The winds are light SW early and are forecast to go ESE later. There are some small ones on the E facing points and in the S corners on the dropping tide. Outer bays at Noosa also will have some small ones as the tide drops, but it's definitely nothing to get excited about

May improve a bit after the tide comes in but in reality don’t expect many waves today. Possibly the very occasional 0-1 ft wave on the outgoing tide. 1 ft tomorrow, small on Monday.’

Don't forget the Welsh Open Surf Comp is in Rest Bay today. It could get quite busy, so please have some consideration for competitors.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
