‘Harlyn report: That stormy wind is from the west north west this morning, meaning that it is grinding straight into the bay pushing water and sand before it. It is a bit of a maelstrom out there right now, you really wouldn't go in by choice this morning!’

7.30am Wednesday. Big swell but a little messy. Dropping tide and Coney Beach is 2-3ft and a little messy, Rest Bay is 5-6ft and surfable although a hell of a paddle out. Tons of swell on the sandbars so Rest Bay will be a wave in Rest Bay all day but winds are forecast to pick up onshore. Be carefull of low tide Coney Beach, the rip will be pretty bad today, but Coney Beach should be good towards high tide this evening.

Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: Winds are light from the East and conditions are glassy again on the Mid Coast this morning, but swell is struggling. Surf is barely half a foot on the reefs heading into low tide around 9:30am, and doesn't look like improving much today.’

‘South-Coast SA: Conditions are glassy early this morning with very light offshore North winds, and just a tiny bit of leftover wobble in the swell. Surf is around 2' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch, with Waits & Parson's around 2 - 3' and probably the better option for shortboarders ( until the rip destroys it ).’

Coolum:
‘1.0 metres(3') 10-15 knots ESE. Onshore winds into it early. Protected southern corners of the coast are the pick for calm conditions though only tiny waves. Coolum cove and bays will offer some short solid rides. A/bay is the pick for extra size and some wind protection. Need a board or a lesson contact Coolum Surfing School :)’
