Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: NW winds gusting to 20 knots are making a bit of a mess of the Mid Coast this morning, with choppy 1 - 2' wind / ground swell on the reefs. The wind and dropping tide won't help much, but the beachies may have some waist-high peaks late morning.’

Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
The E swell has dropped a bit but is solid at 3-5ft on the open beaches and there is a lot of water moving around with high tide at 8.30 am. The winds are very light W early, with SE to NE winds forecast later. The points and S corners are handling the E swell the best and will improve on the dropping tide before the onshore sea breeze comes up. Noosa is smaller with waves in all the Bays, but crowded

‘Whitesands Bay: 1-2 ft fairly messy waves today with moderate cross/onshore winds. A few waves this morning with the odd 2 ft set as the tide drops. Not great waves but enough there to get a few rides. It will get smaller around low tide at lunch time, before picking up again later on this afternoon. So fairly messy knee to waist high waves today. Bigger this morning, onshore all day. 2 ft tomorrow, 2 ft offshore on Monday.’

7.30am Saturday. Light winds at the moment. Coney Beach is 2ft+ and clean. Rest Bay is 3ft+ but too high. Big tides so it's likely to stay up on the rocks until about 9.30ish. We should have a nice 2-3ft for most of the day - but those winds are coming in this afternoon and might much it up.
