‘Whitesands Bay: 1-2 ft fairly messy waves today with moderate cross/onshore winds. A few waves this morning with the odd 2 ft set as the tide drops. Not great waves but enough there to get a few rides. It will get smaller around low tide at lunch time, before picking up again later on this afternoon. So fairly messy knee to waist high waves today. Bigger this morning, onshore all day. 2 ft tomorrow, 2 ft offshore on Monday.’

7.30am Saturday. Light winds at the moment. Coney Beach is 2ft+ and clean. Rest Bay is 3ft+ but too high. Big tides so it's likely to stay up on the rocks until about 9.30ish. We should have a nice 2-3ft for most of the day - but those winds are coming in this afternoon and might much it up.

‘Constantine Bay report: The wind is still blowing too hard from the north west and so it's another day when you may not be putting surfing at the top of your 'must do' list this morning! Well not on this coast anyway. The wind is fresh and onshore pulling and pushing at those three foot peaks that are wedging up over the shallows.’

‘10-20 knots SE. Swell days ahead with solid waves across the coast. Mofats, Carties, Alex all have good waves. Wutulla and Warana over the high tide. Coolum and northern beaches have more size and caution should be used (know your limits). Smaller waves on the points of Noosa.’

Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: Light North winds are adding a bit of a bump to the swell this morning, but conditions are otherwise clean early. Surf is still around 1 - 2' on the reefs, just a bit inconsistent and struggling against the dropping tide. Northerly winds will kick in pretty soon and add more bumps to the swell, and they'll be stronger after lunch.’

Surf South Oz:
‘South-Coast SA: Winds are light offshore from the North and conditions are clean early on the South Coast, with swell still hanging in there. Surf is around 2 - 3' at Middleton with 3' sets along the Day St. - Surfer's stretch, and 2' waves at Chiton. Waits and Parson's will be bigger, Waits Point is probably about the only option there.’

Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
The E swell is solid and a straight at 4-5ft with bigger sets on the open beaches and there is a lot of water moving around with high tide just before 8 am. The winds are very light W early, with SE to NE winds forecast for this afternoon. The points and S corners are handling the swell the best and will improve on the dropping tide before the onshore sea breeze comes up. Noosa is smaller and is the pick, but crowded.

‘Constantine Bay report: It must be a couple of weeks now? Since we've had these north westerly, onshore winds battering our coastline and re-modelling our beaches and bays that is. ‘Fanore surf report: Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I was out of the country with little access to the net. Today we have some waist high crumbly wind swell with a moderate onshore and things are looking similar for the weekend. With a complex low pressure sitting over us, it looks like we will have similar conditions for the next week or so. That is rather cool, showery, changeable weather. Because of the position of the low pressure the winds will be very changable in direction. It will also be mostly small to medium wind swell with a peck in swell early next week. Forecasts look ...’
