PorthcawlSurf (School & Hire):
‘Porthcawl: 2ft and clean in Coney Beach. 3ft, still a little highand a little messy in Rest Bay. We should get a surfable 2-3ft as it drops off the rocks for a few hours. Dropping to 2ftish around low tide but then increasing again as it pushes back in this evening. It may be just big enough to give us a clean2-3ft in Coney Beach but Rest Bay is likely to be chopped up.’

Constantine Surf:
‘Constantine Bay report: It must be a couple of weeks now? Since we've had these north westerly, onshore winds battering our coastline and re-modelling our beaches and bays that is? Well, the wind has eased back a little this morning but it is still blowing from the north west, still blowing onshore.’
-
Escape Surf boards:
‘Polzeath Surf Report 6.45: The persistent wind is at the moment a big feature of the surf conditions and it is still too strong to make surfing the ‘Zeath a real possibility. The underlying swell would give you faces of head high.’
-
Coolum:
‘10-20 knots SE. Swell days ahead with solid waves across the coast. Mofats, Carties, Alex all have good waves. Wutulla and Warana over the high tide. Coolum and northern beaches have more size and caution should be used (know your limits). Smaller waves on the points of Noosa.’
-
Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: There's some new swell on the Mid Coast this morning, and conditions are glassy with light offshore East winds. Surf is around 1' on the reefs with occasional bigger sets, but it's fighting the dropping tide. Check the beachies around low tide at 10, but watch the reefs late morning for a lift in swell.’
-
Surf South Oz:
‘South-Coast SA: Winds are just a puff from the West and conditions are clean and glassy early on the South Coast, with a lift in swell overnight. Surf is around 3' at Middleton with 3 - 4' sets along the Day St. - Surfer's stretch, and 2' waves at Chiton. Waits and Parson's will be bigger, Waits Point is probably about the only option there.’
-
Coolum:
‘1.0 metres(3') 5-15 knots ESE. Great day at the beach ahead with clear blue skies, light offshore winds early and fun size waves. Fun shorebreaks with the morning tide about Mt Coolum area, Mudjimba and Twin water all worth a look. Northern beaches of Peregian and Sunshine hold more swell.’

7.30am Thursday. Swell has dropped quite a bit but still well surfable today. Rest Bay will be a little messy and beware of the low tide rip at Coney Beach. Surf Lessons in Sheltered Coney Beach this evening 4pm - come join us

Constantine Surf:
‘Harlyn report: It's pretty horrible around here for surf again this morning! Two feet to just a little bigger of broken up, sloppy and choppy surf is fumbling its way onto the beach. The wind is forecast to stay onshore here for a good while yet so i think that it's another day to get the map and head off to those 'other' spots!’

Escape Surf boards:
‘Polzeath Surf Report 6.45: The wind has slightly eased overnight but the sea is still a mess. There is an underlying swell of about 6 foot so the waves would be about head and half high as they break but the wind is too strong at the moment to make the arduous paddle out worthwhile.’
-
Constantine Surf:
‘Constantine Bay report: The wind has dropped from yesterday's hooley but it's still a breezy and threatening one this morning! The surf is still mixed up and messy, a churned and swirling three to four feet of madness washing around the bay. It is the very opposite of appealing so far this morning!’

-
Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: There are tiny lines on the Mid Coast early and conditions are clean for the moment, with the tide heading out. It's still really too small at around 0.5', and out to sea there's a dark line moving down the gulf from Northerly winds.’
-
Surf South Oz:
‘South-Coast SA: Conditions are clean early this morning with light offshore NE winds, and small swell lining up nicely. Surf is only around 1 - 2' along the Middleton - Goolwa stretch, with Waits & Parson's around 2 - 3' and probably your best shot for a shortboard wave.’

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
