The SSE swell is clean and straight at around 2-3ft with bigger ones on the more open beaches. The winds are SSW early and are forecast to go SSE later. Small, fub beachies in the S protected stretches and corners on the incoming tide. Try the points and S corners later in the day when the wind goes to the SSE

7.15am Wednesday. Bigger today but still a bit messy and windy. Rest Bay is too high but about 3ft on sets. Coney Beach is about 2ft+. Both Beaches will drop off after high tide but at Rest Bay it will be up on the rocks until about 10am. It will drop with the dropping tide but we should get a messy 3ft on the push this afternoon in Rest Bay and a cleanish 2ft in Coney Beach.

Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
Another clear, cool morning with only up to 1ft. of SSE swell and light W winds. It's looking a bit like a lake early with only tiny beachies on the more exposed beaches first up. A gale force wind warning from the SSW has been issued and the swell is predicted to start picking up later in the day.

Surf South Oz:
‘Mid-Coast SA: We're back to glassy conditions on the Mid Coast with light SE winds early, and some small lines on the reefs. Swell is still a bit Southerly so the sets are only around 1', and the dropping tide won't help. The beachies might have learner waves through low tide mid-morning, and the big incoming tide may bring small waves again.’
