‘Whitesands Bay: Fairly clean 3 ft waves today with moderate offshore winds. A bit full around high this morning but should get better as the tide drops with a few good shoulder/head high sets mid to low tide. There should be waves all day. A bit smaller while the tide is out and then picking up again this evening. Good waves today so enjoy it. Big howling onshore tomorrow, 2 ft Saturday.’

7.45am Thursday. Pictures are a bit deceiving this morning, It's windy as hell but sheltered at the moment in Rest Bay. As the tide drops, it will get more exposed and with the wind increasing throughout the day it's likely to be a mess. Coney Beach is 2ft and messy and will drop off after high tide. There will be a wave today but could be a dangerous sort of day in terms of the strength of the wind. Coney Beach isn't providing much shelter either and low tide Coney Beach will have a nightmare rip. With safety in mind, we have canceled all our lessons today and we won't be renting any equ...

‘Harlyn report: One foot plus waves are lining up, held back by the wind and the tide, all tourquoise and clear and frothing, curling onto the shore with a whomp. There's one guy out struggling to catch those little walls, paddling into the wind without much support from those high tide fattened waves.’

The SSE swell is clean and straight at around 2-3ft with bigger ones on the more open beaches. The winds are SSW early and are forecast to go SSE later. Small, fub beachies in the S protected stretches and corners on the incoming tide. Try the points and S corners later in the day when the wind goes to the SSE
