7.45am Friday. Not a good day. Howling onshore winds messing up Rest Bay which is 3-4ft and Coney Beach is 2ft but dropping and will be dangerous around low tide - with this wind, the rip will take you straight onto the rocks. - best avoided. Rest Bay will be a mass of white water all day. Pictures and video @ [link]

Ma Simes Surf hut:
‘Whitesands Bay: 2-3 ft messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. 3 ft messy, blown out waves this morning leading up to low tide. It will be smaller while the tide is right around midday, and then even though it will pick up as the tide comes in, it won’t be as big as this morning because the swell is dropping off to 1-2 ft waves this evening. 1 ft tomorrow, 2 ft Sunday.’

‘Constantine Bay report: It's a little breezy out there this morning! There's a brisk westerly wind rushing some dark clouds across the bay, chopping and slopping the three to four feet of dark and quite gloomy looking surf. It's not the place for a relaxing surf this morning!’

‘Mid-Coast SA: Light onshore WSW winds are adding a few bumps on the Mid Coast, but there is small swell running. Surf is around 1 - 1.5' on the reefs and a bit bumpy with the tide heading out until 10am. We might see a small pulse on the incoming tide around midday, but it will fill up pretty fast after lunch.’

‘South-Coast SA: Conditions are semi-clean with light West winds putting a bit of a lump in the swell early . Surf has picked up a bit to around 2 - 3' between Middleton and Goolwa with Waitpinga around 3' and bumpy. Winds will stay out of the WSW and light to moderate all day, so longboarders should get a go off Middleton Point. Shred Factor 6/10’

7.45am Thursday. Small and clean. Dropping tide and Rest Bay is 2ft+ and clean, Coney Beach is only about 1ft. A small wave on the sandbars is starting to appear so its looking promising for later this afternoon as long as the wind doesn't muck it up. Rest Bay should give us a (just about ) surfable clean wave for most of the da and pick up to 2-3ft later.
