‘7.20 Polzeath: The good news is that we have some swell this morning, the bad news is that at this high tide the weather is rather horrible and waves are of poor quality. The wind will stay blowing onshore for most of the day, and rain will tend to stay with us also for most of the day.’

‘Whitesands Bay: 1-2 ft fairly messy waves today with moderate onshore winds. Small this morning with knee high sets at high tide. It should however pick up a bit as the tide goes out developing into waist/chest high waves around lunchtime. It will probably drop off mid afternoon at low tide before picking up again this evening with waist high waves this evening. 5 ft tomorrow, 3 ft Friday.’

Constantine Surf:
‘Harlyn report: The wind is offshore here this morning and so is doing its job in keeping in shape those small but sweeping waves. It is likely to be at its best through the next hour or two, just ahead of high water before weakening with the tide. But this afternoon's tidal push should give it another boost.’
