Wave Bandit: Hands On OH&S Oil & Gas Safety Services (tel: 0458 544 287)
It's still looking a lot like a lake this morning with tiny, clean conditions. The SSE swell is only flat to 1ft. Light WSW winds early that are forecast to be offshore from the SW all day. The tide is dropping to a low just sfter 10am, coming to a high at 4.30pm. It's ripple riding only, from Peregian to A Bay the pick.

Coolum:
‘Coolum surf: 1.5 metres(5') 10-15 knots WSW. Small E swell in the 1-2ft max range with light NW winds that are forecast to go WSW. The tide is low, coming to a high at 11.10am. It's going to be clean all day and there are small ones all along the open beaches on the incoming tide. Take a board with lots of volume in it as the swell is quite soft.’

‘Air 11 water 10.8'C no wind waves 2 foot’
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has stated that a magnitude 8.2 Earthquake beneath the Sea of Okhosk did not generate a destructive Tsunami. However, we suggest that local interests also listen for statements from the Japan Meteorological Agency, located much closer to the source.
