Brunswick River-South Swell Statistics, All Year: All Swell – Any Wind
This picture shows the variation of swells directed at Brunswick River-South through an average year and is based upon 26684 NWW3 model predictions since 2006 (values every 3 hours). The diagram implies that the prevailing swell direction, shown by the longest spokes, was ENE, whereas the the prevailing wind blows from the ESE. Because the wave model grid is offshore, sometimes a strong offshore wind blows largest waves away from Brunswick River-South and away from the coast.
