Anna Bay-Morna Point Surf Stats

This image shows the variation of swells directed at Anna Bay-Morna Point through an average April, based on 3360 NWW3 model predictions since 2007 (values every 3 hours). The wave model does not forecast wind or surf right at the shore so we have chosen the best grid node based on what we know about Anna Bay-Morna Point. In the case of Anna Bay-Morna Point, the best grid node is 25 km away (16 miles). The rose diagram illustrates the distribution of swell sizes and directions, while the graph at the bottom shows the same thing but without direction information. Because the wave model grid is away from the coast, sometimes a strong offshore wind blows largest waves away from Anna Bay-Morna Point and out to sea.
