Widemouth Bay Reviews and Ratings

Visitor reviews of Widemouth Bay surf break
March 29, 2010
Q, VoG from United Kingdom
A broad sandy beach that is rock strewn on the right side of the bay so watch out at high tide if you don't know the area. The waves are quite average in quality although there are good banks that come into play during lower stages of the tide, sometimes causing waves to back-off and sometimes causing fast running hollow close outs.
Touristy Bude is a short drive away for accommodation and beers while there are couple of spots to eat and stay at the beach itself. Parking is right next to the beach and there is a good vibe in the water even when busy.
