Surf Break: Whitsand Bay and Tregantle

Whitsand Bay and Tregantle in South Cornwall is an exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the northeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Often Crowded. Take care of the strong rips here.
