Whiritoa in Coromandel is a reasonably exposed beach break that does not work very often with no particular seasonal pattern. Ideal winds are from the west. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the northeast. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for dangerous rips.
