9.30am Friday. Dropping tide and howling cross shore winds. Rest Bay is 1-2ft and messy. Coney Beach is almost flat. As the tide pushes in this evening - we could get a surfable wave at Coney Beach, maybe 2ft, Rest Bay may clean up and give us 2-3ft. We still have spaces on the kids Surf Maniax course for half term - a week course £75 [link]

‘Harlyn report: It's pretty hideous around here this morning too for a surfer. The sand is blowing in that vicious north westerly, the surf is churned up and the sky is threatening. No, it's not a place to linger right now but it will improve.’

It's more Winter than Summer out there this morning with that squally wind ripping across the headland and rattling the hedgerows, a grey cloud cover hiding any sunshine that we might dream of. Yep, it is a windy, damp and chilly start to today! And the surf is suffering as a result.’
