Turtles in Okinawa is a fairly exposed reef break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the east northeast. Usually gets local windswells, but groundswells do happen and the ideal wave angle is from the north. A reef breaks left. Best around low tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Beware of rips, coral and sharks.
