The Wedge in Tasmania - East Coast is a fairly exposed sandbar break that does not work very often. Works best in offshore winds from the north. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. Waves at the sandbar break both left and right. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's often crowded here. Hazards include rips, rocks, locals and sharks.
