The Guillotine in the Margarets River Area is an exposed reef break that has very consistent waves, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds are from the east northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. A reef breaks left. Best around mid tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of rocks, sharks and isolation.

FEATURE UPDATE: we now show red swell icons for 'open sea' swells that are travelling in an unfavourable direction for the surf break. In places, these swells may still wrap around coastlines and produce smaller waves at some breaks. They are also significant for windsurfers and other water users that tend to venture further off-shore.
