10th Street (Avalon) in New Jersey is a quite exposed beach/Jetty break that only works once in a while. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. Sometimes crowded. Beware of rips and jellyfish.
