Snake Park in Durban is an exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the west northwest. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Watch out for sharks and jellyfish.
