Samudra Water Temperature and Wetsuit Guide

(Indonesia – West Java)

Today's Samudra Sea Water Temperature is: 28.4 °C (83 °F)

Statistics for 14 Feb (1981–2005) – mean: 28.7 °C, range: 28.0 °C to 29.8 °C (mean 84 °F, range: 82 °F to 86 °F)

Hot air temperatures, feeling like 31 °C / 88 °F once we account for wind, and very warm water temperature (28 °C / 83 °F) at Samudra. Clouds should reduce UV so boardshorts and a rash vest should be ok.

Samudra Water Temperature Graph

All of the graphs for the surf breaks presented on Surf-Forecast.com are on the same scale to enable comparison between locations around the world.

Samudra sea water temperatures peak in the range 29 to 30°C (84 to 86°F) on around the 10th of April and are at their coldest on about the 6th of September, in the range 25 to 29°C (77 to 84°F). Year round warm sea water temperatures at Samudra mean that a rash vest and board shorts should be fine for surfing at any time of year

Actual sea surface water temperatures close to shore at Samudra can vary by several degrees compared with these open water averages. This is especially true after heavy rain, close to river mouths or after long periods of strong offshore winds. Offshore winds cause colder deep water to replace surface water that has been warmed by the sun. Air temperature, wind-chill and sunshine should also be considered before deciding on the kind of wetsuit needed to stay warm when surfing at Samudra. Refer to our detailed weather forecasts for this information.
